Cargo Operations

Cargo Operations

Bangor serves as an uncongested transportation gateway to Canada, the Northeast and the Atlantic Seaboard. Interstate 95, the major interstate highway that transits the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, crosses the City and is the major route to urban centers, including Portland (2 hours), Boston (4 hours), New York (7 hours), and the Canadian border (2 hours). Major state highways provide direct access to northern and eastern Maine, the Atlantic Provinces of Canada, northern New England, Quebec and upstate New York.
